In an effort to remain in compliance with OHSU recommendations and precautions, the Audiology walk-in/ drop off hearing aid clinic and the Beaverton Walk-In Lab are temporarily closed. Patients who need labs drawn should call ahead to the CHH2 lab at the south waterfront.

The OHSU Cochlear Implant Program had their Cochlear Implant Picnic at the Oregon Zoo on Friday August 10th. This event was an educational event for our prospective cochlear implant patients and current cochlear implant recipients. The picnic consisted of information on our Cochlear Implant Program at OHSU, cochlear implant candidacy, technological advancement, and information on resources within the community.
The Cochlear Implant Picnic also offered a space for potential candidates and their families to meet their fellow candidates/recipients in the community and across the state. The CI Picnic has not been held since 2019 due to COVID regulations, but we are happy to have our annual picnic return and hope to continue it next year!

Oregon Hearing Research Center, a part of OHSU's Department of Otolaryngology, was recently featured in the Oregon Business Journal. The Center is the second-largest hearing research institute in the United States and focuses on the mechanisms and treatments for hearing loss involving the inner ear.
The Center's path-breaking work helps our clinicians to stay at the absolute forefront of our field, and the challenges faced by our patients motivates the Center's scientists to identify and solve the most critical problems facing people with hearing loss.
