OHSU’s ECMO team is available 24 hours a day to provide world-class, comprehensive care for adults with severe heart or respiratory failure.

We are a multidisciplinary team with specialists in:

• Critical care, including nursing
• Heart failure
• Respiratory failure
• Transplant
• Cardiothoracic surgery

We have access to intensivists (experts in critical care) in:

• Anesthesia
• Cardiology
• Pulmonary
• Surgery

We also have access to specialists in:

• Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
• Lab services
• Pharmacy
• Physical medicine and rehabilitation
• Respiratory therapy

We are researchers who work to advance knowledge and care. Our recent research includes studying:
