Our research is focused on developing optimized imaging reagents to expand the capabilities of macroscopic and microscopic cancer imaging. This includes the development of fluorescence imaging for image-guided surgery, multicolor microscopy methods, and personalized therapy technologies to visualize and characterize cancer from the operating room to the single-cell level. Read more

Oct 2024Dani’s paper, titled “Two-color fluorescence-guided surgery for head and neck cancer resections” has been published at JBO. This work highlights our two-color approach as a novel optical tool for head and neck cancer surgeries, offering great potential to improve patient outcomes by simultaneously enhancing intraoperative cancer resection and nerve preservation. Jun 2024 - Dr. McMahon's paper, 'In situ single-cell therapeutic response imaging facilitated by the TRIPODD fluorescence imaging platform,' is featured on the cover of Theranostics

Apr 2024 - We report our TRIPOD technology with the capability of evaluating therapeutic response imaging to molecularly targeted treatment as it relates to signaling inhibition, drug target availability (DTA), proliferation, and apoptosis with preserved spatial context. Mar 2023 - Today we report in Nature Chemistry on our fluorophore development work for quantitative imaging applications. We can now use OregonFluor-labeled therapeutics to validate drug targets and quantify drug target availability in live cells and tissues. Read more.
