About me
Barry Swerdlow joined the OHSU nurse anesthesia program in October 2018. He comes from a busy community practice in Southern California with a subspecialty in cardiac anesthesia. Barry also has been (and continues to be) a longstanding adjunct clinical faculty member in the Stanford University Department of Anesthesiology. He previously completed residencies in internal medicine and anesthesia and fellowship training in clinical pharmacology at Stanford. He comes to OHSU specifically to teach lessons learned from decades of clinical practice. Barry's research interests include methods to increase safety in operating room anesthesia and innovative education practices in nurse anesthesia training. He is an avid outdoor person who diligently tries to keep up with his athletic wife and two sons.
