- Resident Physician, Obstetrics and Gynecology
About me
Dr. Byers was born and raised right outside Seattle in Everett, Washington. She studied Biology + Medical Anthropology at the University of Washington, and spent 4 years teaching eighth graders in Chicago before beginning medical school at Dartmouth. Growing up, she spent a lot of time riding horses, training dogs, playing volleyball, and reading books. She still loves all of those activities, but does more book reading than anything else these days. While they are mostly medical texts, she is also trying to read a book from every country. OBGYN has seemed like a good fit for her personality for a long time, and her experiences with the incredible faculty at Dartmouth solidified her desire to practice at an academic hospital. Dr. Byers loves the physiology at the core of this specialty, the challenge presented by the breadth of knowledge an OB-GYN must retain, and the opportunities for advocacy associated with reproductive justice.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
