About me
Dr. Sustersic likes to go by Dr. Brianna, and her patients seem to prefer that too. She specializes in primary care for adults and has special expertise in treating people suffering from addiction and substance use disorders. Dr. Brianna chose primary care because she enjoys getting to know her patients and developing lasting connections with them over time. She believes the best way to take care of her patients is to take care of the whole person, not just the illness they may experiencing at any one moment in time. She finds great satisfaction in helping people achieve their personal health and wellness goals and supporting them through the challenges of managing chronic medical conditions. Dr. Brianna also has a passion for medical education and enjoys working with and teaching medical students, residents, and all learners of all kind.
Outside of work Dr. Brianna loves spending time with her friends and family, especially her husband and two young sons. When she's not watching her kiddos play soccer or baseball, she enjoys all that the beautiful Pacific Northwest has to offer including hiking, camping, skiing and running outdoors. She also enjoys reading (mostly fiction) and going to see live music at the great venues in Portland and beyond. Dr. Brianna also loves to explore the world through travel. Besides traveling back to the East Coast to visit family, some of her favorite favorite places that she has visited include Tanzania, Peru, Costa Rica, Japan, Hawaii, Italy, and Australia.
