About me

Dr. Dugi specializes in reconstructive surgery for problems of the urinary and genital system. He has advanced training in the treatment of urethral and ureteral strictures, as well as complex problems such as buried penis, adult complications of hypospadias, genital lymphedema, and recto-urethral fistula.

In 2016, Dr. Dugi began to focus on gender-affirming genital surgery for people across the gender spectrum. He offers gender-affirming vaginoplasty and vulvoplasty, orchiectomy, and metoidioplasty, as well as revision surgeries. He also offers care for complications of these and other genital surgeries done elsewhere.

In addition to surgical care, Dr Dugi was co-founder of OHSU's Transgender Health Program in 2012.  He is the program’s Director of Surgical Services, one of the most comprehensive and highest volume gender programs in the nation. He is the Fellowship director for OHSU’s Gender-affirming and Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery fellowship. He is active in advocacy, education, and research.

  8. The provider was great. What didn't work very well is I arrived 20 minutes early and the patient ahead of me arrived 15 or 20 minutes late. They actually took her first and made the entire day 45 minutes behind schedule. The doctor was 45 minutes late to my appointment, and they really should have just shuffled us all around, given that I'd already checked in and it was very early in the day. I can only imagine what it was like for people later in the afternoon.

  10. Dr. Dugi and Dorian Scull were very friendly and welcoming. They maintained an appropriate professionalism, but were very easy to talk to and to ask questions of. They did not appear to be rushed and I left with all of my questions answered. It was a very positive experience.

  17. In the several years that I have known Dr. Dugi I've found him to be very knowledgeable about his specialty and his level of expertise is excellent! He and his staff are wonderful and I would recommend him and OHSU to anyone that is looking into having their medical treatment and reassignment procedures!

  18. Dr. Dugi was incredibly knowledgable and patient with me as I asked a lot of questions over my medical concern. They not only gave me detailed answers but also made sure to understand their own preferences as well as the preferences of other surgeons. It helped provide me with a larger picture of my medical concern and left me feeling heard and respected as well as informed.

It's a very vulnerable position to choose a surgeon for this big of a surgery and I am confident that Dr. Dugi was the best choice overall.
