About me

Dr. Lee has special expertise in infertility, IVF, reproductive surgery, tubal ligation reversals and tubal surgery, mullerian variations, pediatric gynecology, disorders of sexual development and preservation of fertility for cancer survivors. His research focus is on fertility preservation for cancer survivors and ovarian tissue transplantation. Dr. Lee feels that it is a privilege to be able to take care of patients and get to know them as people. He likes the challenge of reproductive surgery and the ability to help patients in a very tangible way. Dr. Lee finds it gratifying to be in an area of medicine where one can make a significant difference in a patient's life.

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Lee's first job at OHSU was in high school. From this research experience, he was compelled to pursue a career in academic medicine. In his leisure time, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his two sons, hiking, fishing, biking, swimming and being outdoors.

He also takes a lot of time reviewing my case & history to provide care that addresses everything to give us the best care.

  9. Dr. Lee was GREAT! He remembered providing my treatment from years ago. He listened carefully and thoughtfully to what I needed and talked through the various options. Dr. Lee was proactive with following up with embryology lab and called me back later in the day with an agreement to proceed with my request. I was delighted to have his support. My only feedback is to improve the video call and phone quality as the connection was unreliable and it was difficult to hear at times.

  12. David Lee was great and the service provided was professional. However, I would have preferred a female doctor if given the opportunity to choose. It is curtesy to provide patients with the option of choosing if they're comfortable with a male provider for such treatments.

  23. Amazing! Dr. Lee made sure i knew exactly what to expect, as well as his team that worked with me in pre/post operation! Every encounter I had was amazing! i was definitely nervous to start out with, but after the care i had received in pre op and the conversations i had about my surgery, i felt i was in great hands!! (and i was!) My family and I have never met such nice people who work in the medical field! OHSU was amazing and so was Dr. Lee and his crew!! I highly recommend if you want to feel relaxed and in good hands! This was also my very first surgery, yet somehow they made me feel as if i've gone through this before!! Everyone at OHSU is absolutely amazing!! THANK YOU!!

  26. My experience with the fertility clinic has been 10/10 (I did a round of egg freezing in May, and am starting a second round now). They are phenomenal, can't say enough good things about all of the nurses, doctors, and nursing assistants. 10/10!!!

  27. I always feel seen as a person rather than a patient or a problem/puzzle that needs solving. My choice and bodily autonomy is prioritized and I've never felt pressured into medical decisions. I would definitely recommend this provider, especially to someone in a similar situation to me.
