About me

I am an infectious disease doctor who cares for infants, children, and adolescents with suspected or proven infectious diseases. 

I joined OHSU-Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in 2006, and currently serve as the medical director of both the antimicrobial stewardship program and the infection prevention and control program.

I am passionate about teaching medical students and trainees to ensure that the next-generation physicians provide safe, effective and evidence-based medical care to all children.

I have published numerous scientific papers within the field of pediatric infectious diseases. In addition to clinical and research duties, I am a trusted subject matter expert for regional and national news media outlets and state and local policy-makers. I am a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and previously served on its Committee on Infectious Diseases.
