About me

Dr. Erik Wells specializes in internal medicine and enjoys providing excellent care to adults and the elderly regardless of their complexity (or simplicity). He chose a general medicine practice hecause his clinical interests so are broad. As a resident he sees patients in a variety of specialty clinics, cares for them in the hospital, and occasionally visits ER and urgent care settings. "I believe everyone deserves to receive great medical care and be seen and heard as the important and worthy person they are," he says. "It is an honor to carry out my role as physician in people's lives."

Dr. Wells is a native of Portland, who lives with three beautiful women (his wife - who is also his high school sweetheart - and their 2 young daughters), enjoys experiencing nature while in motion (running and hiking primarily), learning and playing guitar (please don't judge if you hear him play), and intends to stay in the great Pacific Northwest (until he grows moss).

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
