Evgeny was born and spent most of his life in Saint Petersburg, Russia where he received his medical and surgical training. He went on to join the thoracic department at the Centre of thoracic surgery and intensive pulmonology where he became a member of a young and enthusiastic team. One of the projects Evgeny was involved with was chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. This led to the short-term fellowship to the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, England which allowed the team to adopt the protocol and improve our understanding of the condition and surgical treatment. Several years later, Evgeny was privileged to be a part of the renowned cardiothoracic transplant team at Papworth as a clinical fellow. During those years, he developed an interest in radiology and eventually decided to change his path in medicine. He completed radiology residency in Nottingham with a subspecialist interest in Neuroradiology. As a next step in his life and career, Evgeny is looking forward to building up his experience in radiology at OHSU and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
