Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. 1. A wonderful, caring professional.

  2. I've seen Dr. Bernard for a few years now and this is the calmest she's ever been and the most cooperative she's ever been. So I was very pleased. I was thinking about changing, but I guess I will not. I'll stay with her. Thanks.

  3. Dr. Bernard is kind and always looking for solutions. In this case, the disease is incurable but she still strives to improve quality of life to the best of her ability.

  4. My provider listened and considered my wants and needs for MY life with options that correspond. I sincerely appreciate that.

  5. I have been a patient of Dr. Bernard for quite a few years now. She has always taken plenty of time to listen to me, answer questions and let me know how I'm progressing with my treatment.

  6. Dr. Bernard always spends enough time with me to understand current challenges and options for treatment.

  7. Gold-standard, confidence-inspiring care.

  8. I came to see Dr. Bernard seeking a second opinion for my condition. She was extremely thorough in her assessment. She listened and responded with skill and empathy. I left knowing I was in the best of hands.

  9. Very good

  10. This was by far the most in depth neurological appt I've had. She ordered lab work and tests to get to the bottom of what I've been dealing with. It might not be what I thought it was, but I feel confident knowing every stone has been turned, and I will finally have definitive answers. This is the care I wish I would have received 20 years old. I felt heard and seen. Which I didn't feel with my last neuro.

  11. She is caring and sensitive to my needs. No complaints.

  12. Normally, Dr. Bernard is great and is only slightly late. But this time, I was taken to the room early, sat there for 10 mins after having vitals taken, then talked to 3 different people with 15 mins in between each one. I didn't see Dr. Bernard until 4, and my appointment was at 3. And even then , it was for less than 10 mins. And most of that was them dealing with a glitchy computer. This was anomaly, as usually this amount of lateness doesn't usually happen, but this was extreme.

  13. It was fine as always

  14. Over the last 20 years, I've been under the care of several different neurologists. And Dr. Bernard, by far, is someone who I am the most comfortable with and who I completely trust. I'm very grateful that I was assigned to her.

  15. Dr. Bernard has been a pleasure to have as a doctor. She's always thorough. She's always kind. I can tell she cares. I have nothing but good things to say. Thank you.

  16. Dr Bernard is amazing. The neurology department is great!

  17. Dr. Bernard seems very caring and she takes time with me and listens and makes good notes about me and just really cares about my health and overall well-being. So I really appreciate her and all she is doing to help me get through whatever it is that I'm going through.

  29. Dr Bernard is caring and interested in my wellbeing. Love her.

  30. Dr. Bernard is the best neurologist I have ever worked with. There have been a few since I got diagnosed with MS. And she's the one who I'm most comfortable with and who gives me the best care and gives me the best recommendations. So I'm very grateful to have her, and she's the only reason I tolerate OHSU.

  31. Listened, went out of her way to get answers and explained everything

  32. I have been seeing Dr. Bernard for quite a few years and have always found her to be a caring and capable physician. Yesterday's visit was as thorough as a virtual visit can be. I look forward to our face-to-face visit again in six months.

  37. Review of program/meds.

  38. She was friendly and competent

  39. I think the provider is very competent but I sometimes feel that I am not being heard.

  40. I am the husband of a neurological patient of Dr. Bernard. Because the patient has difficulty communicating, Dr. Bernard works with both of us. Dr. Bernard listens to our concerns and does her best to provide counsel, guidance, medication and testing as appropriate. She is caring and professional. Now, if she'd just get a crystal ball …
