Dr. Jeanene Smith is a doctor who enjoys the diversity of ages and conditions she sees in family medicine. She likes the team-based, patient-centered primary care model, which she feels enhances the coordination of care as well as patient engagement.

Although she is originally from Portland, Dr. Smith had a private practice for many years and worked with tribal populations in Alaska. She feels it is an honor to work with the wonderful team of providers and staff at OHSU.

Dr. Smith’s other clinical interests include health care policy and transforming health care delivery with the aim of providing better care, lowering costs and improving the health of patients and their families.
