Dr. Keller is a board-certified dermatologist that specializes in general and complex dermatology with special interests in dermatologic urgent care and inpatient consultation. He provides a consistent and accessible dermatologic resource for providers who see patients in the hospital setting. Dr. Keller sees patients at the Department of Dermatology at the Center for Health & Healing and at both the OHSU and the Portland Veterans Affairs hospitals.
At the OHSU Department of Dermatology, he aims to provide rapid and effective triage for urgently arising outpatient skin problems. In the hospital, he consults on patients with a broad range of conditions, from common (stasis dermatitis, cellulitis, shingles) to more serious (pyoderma gangrenosum, autoimmune blistering dermatoses, graft-versus-host disease). His research interests include the use of inpatient telemedicine, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, DRESS syndrome, calciphylaxis, and prurigo nodularis. One of his career focuses is increasing the amount of interaction and education between dermatology and the other medical specialties. He serves as the Associate Director of the Dermatology Residency Training Program.
In his free time, Dr. Keller enjoys time with his spouse, son, and shih-poo named Mo.

Very thorough, professional and polite.
It was a very short three minute visit. Dr. Keller looked at three spots, declared them non-cancerous and left. I liked his efficiency!
Most efficient MA & MD I've ever seen. In & out in 15 minutes with skin cancer removed. Got follow-up not 24 hours later. Dr Keller was super.
I was very relieved to have a doctor examine the spot on my arm. Dr Keller was very kind as well as the students who were there for the learning experience. Thank you!
The doctor was on time. The check-in was flawless. Once I was taken back to an examining room, I was seen very quickly. The doctor explained what to expect thru out the procedure. My appointment was scheduled at 1:40 PM and I was out of the offices by 2:05 PM. Pretty darn good.
She is a person who cares a lot about the well-being of her patients, an excellent doctor who is not worried about the language to communicate, always finds a way to communicate effectively with her patients and has always shown great interest in serving me in the best way.
Excellent bedside manner. Provider was extremely thorough and explained the procedure.
Dr. Keller and the others were very efficient. They addressed Al of my concerns.
With this particular exam, it can be a bit embarrassing, but this physician made sure to only expose areas that he needed to see and to cover those he did not.
For the first time, someone, he really listened and he made me feel that he cared and he believed what I said. So I left very happy and I appreciate all that he has tried to do. Thank you.
Dr. Keller listened attentively to everything I had to say, thought about what I was saying, asked questions, and put the pieces of the puzzle together in his mind. He then listed possibilities and options in detail and suggested a treatment plan. I find that he has been the only dermatologist (I have been to many) who understands and uses the scientific method - a real plus,
No wait. Good service. Got questions answered.
Diagnosis and minor surgery was all completed in 10 minutes. Very efficient.
Dr Keller was easy to speak with, efficient in his examination, and helpful in explaining my medical options for treating toenail fungus.
Just a general skin check for problems and removal of some questionable lumps.
Dr Keller was pleasant, but his exam was perfunctory and inadequate compared to every other dermatologist I seen. I have severe sun damaged skin and typically 10+ places are frozen, he glanced at my skin for no more than 60 seconds. Additionally, I had 4 issues to discuss and it's hard to describe, but he didn't seem vested in providing solutions.
Prompt, courteous, professional, caring. Couldn't have been happier.
Brief and thorough
He was a substitute fir my regular Dr., so I was concerned; however he was excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. His medical MA was also excellent. I was very pleased.
Dr. Keller patiently answered my questions and concerns. I only spent a few minutes in the waiting room and in the exam room before seeing Dr Keller.
Pleasant, informative, relaxing
Dr. Keller saw me on schedule and was very professional. I had two skin problems which Dr. Keller diagnosed quickly and prescribed appropriate Medication. I Appreciated his help.
Dr. Keller was kind, thorough, and professional. He listened attentively and explained things clearly.
excellent
Appeared to be competent and thorough. Did not received any follow up instructions
The exam seemed very perfunctory. In my many pervious skin check visits, all the physicians spent a lot of time looking at my various moles and comparing the size of each of them to the previous measurements. This visit was much less in depth and felt very rushed. I had a specific concern about subdermal lump that was imaged after the last visit. It is a bit bigger now. We briefly discussed my concern, but I don't recall any specific discussion on why it was not a concern or even if it was a concern, so I am left wondering if I have something growing that might be bad or not. Disappointing. Perhaps the other physicians spend more time than necessary evaluating my me, but my visit left me unsatisfied which is a first for me a OHSU.
He listened to me and was empowering. He helped so much and offered different ways to support me.
Provider is great. OHSU has patients suffer too long before getting any help/appointments.
Dr Keller is the only Dermatologist that I implicitly trust. He's an amazing doctor and he makes me feel better about a very humiliating situation. I'm so grateful for him. Thank you for having such a wonderful doctor and caring human. Dr Keller is a brilliant light in a very dark place of human conditions.
Great experience. Check in was easy and Dr Keller was thorough and informative.
Seemed professional and helpful
Very professional and efficient process
Congenital, explanations were clear.
FAST AND EASY
Friendly staff, my appointment was on schedule - everything was great.
appointment was on time and professional.
I really appreciate having Dr. Keller, as my doctor, I've looked all over for my problem that I have and everybody said that I was a little. I don't know how to explain it right now, but I wasn't really having a problem I was having. So he is taking an interest and he's trying to make me well and I really do appreciate this and I would, I would ask anybody if they ever needed to talk to it with this problem, I would a dermatologist I would very definitely recommend him.
Dr. Keller was communicative and explained the possible Dx and Tx options. His follow-up phone call was appreciated. I was unavailable but he left a voice message that provided information and support.
