About me
Genetic counselors are masters level health care professionals trained to provide information and support to people who have, or may be at risk for, genetic disorders. As part of the OHSU clinical genetics team, Ms. Kushner provides genetic counseling services to children and adult patients with a wide variety of genetic conditions. Originally from Chicago, she has been a practicing genetic counselor since 1997, and at OHSU since 2001. In addition to seeing patients in the general pediatrics and adult genetics clinics, Ms. Kushner has expertise in cardiovascular genetics, Marfan syndrome and other inherited connective tissue disorders and aortopathies. Ms. Kushner also works in OHSU's Adult Neurogenetics Clinic.
Personally, Ms. Kushner enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the Pacific Northwest, reading, music, and gardening.

Insurance
Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
