About me

Dr. Cigarroa practices general cardiology. He also does procedures on the heart, including angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention and treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He also does procedures for atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale. His other interests include coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and aortic diseases.

  1. I was extremely impressed. What was initially set up as a zoom call was changed by the provider to an in person meeting after he reviewed the file and discovered the complexity. Our meeting covered all the issues. I was left very satisfied.

  12. My experience with my provider was virtual. For a virtual appointment I thought it was very successful. He spent a relaxed good amount of time with me and we went over everything and answered all my questions and other than him physically being unable to listen to my heart and check me over a little bit I felt like that was okay since in general since I was not having any issues to my knowledge and all my lab work was good.

As a result I am able to enjoy a very active lifestyle at age 79. Dr. Cigarroa is the cardiologist you want to manage your care. There is none better.

  33. My visit with Dr Cigarroa was productive. He listens very well, he explains the problem well, he is kind, he is patient, thoughtful, understanding, gentle and we work my heart problems well together. He is a great diagnostic specialist. I went through three heart attacks in a two day period. I was in 2 different hospitals in which the second hospital did an angioplasty on me and placed 3 stents. I woke up to having a major heart attack then rushed back in for correction of placement on my stent placement. Left the hospital 3 days later and several weeks later was sent for a stress test then was called to return. I was told go get a second opinion, landed at OHSU several days later where Dr Cigarroa took over my care. He took excellent care of me along with his surgical team. Told me I gave him a lot of gray hair and we laughed. I was blessed that day to have found Dr Cigarroa and OHSU. His nurses are great too, Cody is very kind and boy is he thorough. I also use OHSU for my kidney tumor and now orthopedics is next. I tell everyone needing excellent care OHSU is the place. Right down to parking attendant was great. I'm pleased with Dr. Cigarroa.
