About me

Dr. Durrant is a new faculty member in the Department of Neurology at the rank of an assistant professor. She received her bachelors degree from University of Utah in Salt Lake City, in part funded by a Scholarship for Women in Science (ACCESS). Dr. Durrant went on to attend University of Utah School of Medicine and received her doctor of medicine in 2006. During this time she also gained international health care experience on missions to Africa and Central America.

Dr. Durrant then assumed postgraduate training as a resident in a combined internal medicine / neurology program at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where she graduated in 2011. For the following two years she relocated to San Francisco to be a fellow in Neurological Critical Care at the University of California, San Francisco, and graduated from that program as a neurocritical care specialist this summer.

Dr. Durrant's academic interests include critical care management of post-anoxic brain injury from cardiac arrest, neurological prognostication and ethics of critical care, traumatic brain injury, as well as multi-disciplinary critical care education development for residents and fellows.

In her spare time, she likes to go tent camping and explore national parks, as well as dabble in amateur photography.
