About me

Julie Mitchell received her bachelor and master’s degrees from Adelphi University in New York.  Julie is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Oncology Nursing Society. As a nurse practitioner, Julie is licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and board-certified in adult and gerontology primary care.

At OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, she strives to achieve the best possible outcomes through closely partnering with her patients and their families to develop a team approach to care. Julie started her career in hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant. She now works in general medical oncology and hematology, and palliative care medicine.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys the outdoors, hiking, backpacking and spending time with her family and young grandchildren.
