About me

Khashayar Farsad is the Josef Rosch Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Interventional Radiology, Director of Dotter Interventional Institute, and Director of Research . Dr. Farsad is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology (FSIR) and actively serves on committees through the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Dr. Farsad’s areas of clinical and academic interest include interventional management of portal hypertension, image-guided treatment of solid organ malignancies, and endovascular venous reconstruction. Dr. Farsad oversees the research activities of the Department of Interventional Radiology, including clinical trials and translational research programs.

When not at work, Dr. Farsad can be found spending time with his family, enjoying the great outdoors, and playing music. He is an expert at shoveling manure on their family farm.
