About me
Kristen Ash has worked as a nurse practitioner for over ten years with six of those years at OHSU. During her time at OHSU, she has worked in the Preoperative Medicine Clinic (PMC) and has a passion for optimizing patients for upcoming anesthesia and surgery. Her background in cardiology has led to providing care to patients with complex medical conditions. Kristen has a passion for collaborating with other care team members while coordinating the needs of her patients.
Kristen also has developed a passion for faculty development, not only for herself but for her peers. She has completed several professional/leadership development courses contributing in skills to help her in the role of the first Advanced Practice lead in PMC. Kristen feels honored to have completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice education at OHSU. During her coursework, she focused her efforts on a pilot mentoring program for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) which has led to committee work towards rolling out an OHSU-wide formal mentoring program for APPs.
Kristen resides in Portland with her husband and two stepkids. She is from Bend so loves all the outdoor recreational activities. She also loves cooking, flower arranging, and gardening.

If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
