About me
I am a family medicine doctor who treats adolescent and young adult patients, particularly concerning reproductive health concerns, menstrual symptoms and contraception.
Some treatments I offer my patients include IUD and Nexplanon procedures (placement and removal), routine screenings and pap smear testing.
Adolescents and young adults are my favorite people to talk to! I enjoy hearing my patients share their life experiences and viewpoints, and I value their honesty. I appreciate the chance to understand their health concerns and work with them to support their health and well-being.
I worked as a general pediatrician in Seattle for six years, and my experience at the Seattle Public Health Teen Clinic inspired me to specialize in adolescent and young adult medicine. After completing a fellowship at UCSF, I served on the faculty there for eight years. Then, I joined UCLA as a faculty member and became the Director of Adolescent and Young Adult Reproductive Health for another eight years. I am very excited to return to the Pacific Northwest!
When I’m not working, I like to see family and friends, attend orchestra performances, go outside and try to calm our barking dog.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
