About me

Dr. Pascale Schwab completed her rheumatology fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Boston in 2003. As a fellow, she worked at the bench on the structure and function of Lymphocyte Function Associated Antigen-1 (LFA-1). After a two year stent as a rheumatologist in a multispecialty private practice group in Houston, Texas, she joined OHSU in 2006. Dr. Schwab is a passionate clinician and educator. As associate program director and since 2012 as program director of the rheumatology fellowship at OHSU, she has grown the program from 2 to 4 fellows. Under her leadership and with the unrelenting dedication and enthusiasm of the faculty group, OHSU can boast for having a rigorous yet nurturing rheumatology fellowship program that prepares fellows to become outstanding rheumatologists. Dr. Schwab served as the Portland VA’s rheumatology Section Chief from 2013 until 2020 and is currently the site PI for the VA Rheumatoid Arthritis registry (VARA) as well as for the STOP-Gout VA Cooperative Study. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her family discovering the beautiful mountainous trails surrounding Portland.

If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
