About me

Dr. Randy L. Woltjer, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the School of Medicine and serves as the Director of the Neuropathology Core at the Layton Aging & Alzheimer’s Disease Center. He holds a B.S. from Grand Rapids, an M.A. from Michigan State University, and both a Ph.D. and M.D. from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Woltjer completed his residency and multiple fellowships at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, specializing in neuropathology. He is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Neuropathology and is an active member of several professional associations, including the Society for Free Radical Biology and Medicine and the American Society for Investigative Pathology.
