About me
Rich Reed is an assistant professor and a physician assistant in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine.
Rich has over 30 years of medical experience and has spent the past 15 years practicing in pediatric cardiac surgery.
He specializes in assisting with cardiac surgeries and in the care of children and adults with congenital cardiac disease. He has assisted in thousands of pediatric cardiac surgeries at OHSU's Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
He also teaches and mentors a wide range of OHSU medical students and residents in the care and management of pediatric cardiac surgery patients.
Rich earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
When he's not working, Rich enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. The family enjoys trips to the mountains and the Oregon coast. He also enjoys weightlifting, running, working in the yard and reading books.
