I am a surgeon who specializes in colon and rectal conditions. I focus on:

I joined the Division of Gastrointestinal and General Surgery at OHSU in 2011.

My research interests include

  • Imbalance in the microbiome and early colorectal neoplasia, or how microorganisms may increase the risk for colorectal cancer
  • The cells, molecules and blood vessels around colorectal cancer in young people

My achievements include receiving the OHSU Department of Surgery 2022 Distinguished Service Award.

She is thorough and explains things simply and completely after putting you at complete ease for the examination. OHSU is fortunate to have Dr. Tsikitis on staff in this extremely important area that is critical, especially to Senior Citizens like myself.

She made me feel comfortable and like she cared, they were all prepared and ready to go, as I was getting in the procedure room. So I like that as well. It was a good energy and great experience overall. From the time I stepped into OHU to the time that I left. They were all great, and really nice. I really couldn't ask for any any more. Thank you.

Unfortunately at my younger age I have been treated by many medical professionals. Dr. Tsikitis is in my top 1%!! I drove 8 hours to have Dr. Tsikitis preform my colonoscopy. If anything was found I want her to take care of it. Her surgical skills put me at ease.
