Number of credits: 1
Next offered: Spring 2018 (CRN 32181)
Course Director: Bita Moghaddam
Course Description: This course will examine the mechanisms by which major brain neurotransmitters and modulators are synthesized and released and the biochemistry of synaptic responses. Basic physiological, biochemical, and morphological characteristics of neuronal transmission will be discussed. An emphasis will be placed on the experimental approaches used to examine these processes.
