Course Information and Registration

Using the Student Self-Service

Certificate and MCR Students register for HIP classes through Student Self-Service according to academic degree (Certificate or M.C.R.) and individual course plans.

See the dates for open registration on the OHSU academic calendar

The HIP program maintains curriculum plans for all students. Certificate and M.C.R. students can view their plans in the Student Self-Service (under Degree Requirements, select View My Degree Audit, then select the Plans tab.) Contact Karen McCracken to change your plans or if you wish to add, drop or withdraw from any HIP course.

Non-degree participants require permission to enroll in classes which will be sent by email when registration opens based on their course plans confirmed when accepted into the program.

Tuition and Fees

All students will be charged the University fee. Core courses are tuition-free. Elective courses may be subject to tuition, whether enrolled for credit or as an auditor. Other fees may apply when registered for 9 or more credits.

HIP Course Schedule

The majority of HIP courses are offered online in a synchronous (“live”) manner. Some courses also include a limited number of in-person class meetings.  The HIP website and course schedule PDF will clearly indicate whether classes are hybrid (primarily online with some in-person sessions), online synchronous (no in-person sessions), or online asynchronous. For hybrid courses, the dates of the in-person sessions will be announced prior to the start of the term, and these sessions will be held during the normal class hours (4:30-6:30 for most HIP courses) on the OHSU Marquam Hill or South Waterfront campuses (rooms TBA).
