SON Global reflects the OHSU School of Nursing's global vision and introduces the community to current and developing international opportunities. The program assists faculty, students, the OHSU community, visitors, alumni, international researchers and scholars, and all our current and prospective partners and colleagues worldwide in accessing internationally focused resources and opportunities.
Global partnerships
SON Global has developed partnerships with universities and colleges worldwide to facilitate the exchange of School of Nursing faculty to consult and instruct abroad. Faculty, students and practitioners from partnering universities and colleges are also welcome to visit the School of Nursing through the Visiting Scholars Program. The School of Nursing study abroad program will enhance and enrich these partnerships through international service learning for School of Nursing students.

Nursing Education Xchange
OHSU is a member of the Nursing Education Xchange (NEXus). NEXus is collaboration between participating doctoral programs in nursing for doctoral students enrolled at member colleges and universities. This allows students to take courses that may not be offered at their home institution at a common price.
As an OHSU student, you can access over 250 courses annually through the NEXus Course Xchange. Students work with faculty advisors to identify the course/s that best fits their needs. You can take courses from expert faculty nationwide, expand your network, and collaborate with colleagues.
