Virtual visits let you see an expert OHSU provider from the comfort and convenience of home. Providers across OHSU and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital can meet with you using a secure video connection on a computer, tablet or smartphone. Virtual visits are available for many primary care and specialty care appointments.

How to join a virtual visit

Here are the basic steps. See our Prepare for Your Visit page for detailed instructions, including how to set up a MyChart account. You’ll also find a downloadable guide.

1. Make an appointment.
2. Make sure you have an account with MyChart, our secure patient portal.
3. Log into your MyChart account 15 minutes before your appointment.
4. Click or tap “Check in” to read and accept forms.
5. Click or tap “Join.” Your provider will join you shortly.

Primary care visits

New patients: Welcome. Visit our Primary Care page to find a provider and make an appointment. We offer safe in-person visits, too.

Established patients: Call your clinic and ask for an appointment. You can see us by video — with same-day appointments available — or in person.

Specialty care

Dozens of specialty clinics offer virtual visits, often for follow-up care. Call the clinic you need or ask your regular doctor for a referral.
