Cardiovascular Imaging Research Labs
The non-invasive imaging laboratories in the Knight Cardiovascular Institute are at the leading edge of research in cardiovascular medicine. Highlights of our program include:
- Researchers at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute developed myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE)—a powerfully effective screening test for the early detection of coronary heart disease.
- Our investigators are pioneers in ultrasound-based molecular imaging techniques aimed at improving diagnosis and advancing cardiovascular therapeutics.
- Research programs exist within each of the major non-invasive imaging domains including echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, cardiac magnetic resonance, and nuclear cardiology.
