Collected by fingerstick or syringe at Center for Health and Healing (CHH2) Phlebotomy Laboratory, 1st floor.
A drop of blood must be placed immediately on the Coaguchek.
Pediatric Specimen Requirements:
Collected by fingerstick or syringe at Center for Health and Healing (CHH2) Phlebotomy Laboratory, 1st floor.

Reference Range:
Normal patient 0.9 to 1.2
Anticoagulant therapy 2.0 to 3.0
High intensity anticoagulate therapy 2.5 to 3.5 (patients with mechanical valves)
Comments:
INR less than 0.8 or greater than 4.0 will have a tube collected. The provider will be contacted to see if a Core Lab INR test is requested.
