Specimen Requirements:
5 mL blood in a LAVENDER top (EDTA) tube or Plasma Prep Tube (PPT), minimum of 2mL.
Send to lab within 6 hours or spin and freeze plasma immediately. Transport frozen. Plasma is stable for 6 days refrigerated and 12 weeks frozen.
Pediatric Specimen Requirements:
