Immunohistochemistry
The OHSU Immunohistochemistry Laboratory offers a menu of more than 150 immunohistochemical stains on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. The majority of these studies are performed on Ventana automated immunostainers. The lab also uses these instruments for in situ hybridization tests. In addition, the lab offers a muscle panel, comprised of twenty immunohistochemical stains on frozen muscle tissue. The OHSU Immunohistochemistry Laboratory performs Her-2/neu immunohistochemical testing per ASCO/CAP guidelines, and cases are sent to the OHSU Cytogenetics Lab for her-2/neu FISH testing. The laboratory also performs immunofluorescent staining of frozen tissue of medical and transplant renal cases. Technical assistance with renal biopsies may be scheduled by calling 503 494-5755. Twenty-four hour advance notice is required. The lab is open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday in Dillehunt Hall Room 5049.
