About Us
The Multiscale Microscopy Core provides access to state-of the-art electron microscopy imaging platforms including a Helios NanoLab™ 660 Dualbeam™ FIB/SEM (used for automated high resolution 2D and 3D SEM image acquisition and sample preparation), a Titan™ Krios™ Cryo- Electron microscope (an automated TEM platform optimized for Single Particle Analysis and 3D cryo-TEM applications—with a world record resolution of 2.8 Å), and a Tecnai™ with iCorr™ (the world’s first commercial microscope which integrates light and EM capabilities). Training and services, which include project consultation, specimen preparation, imaging and analysis are available to all academic and commercial parties. Formerly existing as the EM Core, the newly expanded Multiscale Microscopy Core was established in 2013 through collaborative efforts of the OHSU Center for Spatial Systems Biomedicine and Hillsboro-based FEI.
Location
The instruments in the Multiscale Microscopy Core are housed in the custom-built low vibration suite in the new Robertson Life Sciences Building.
