Interpretation:
Increase in ratio of CD4/CD8 and ratio of CD103+/CD4+ in BAL samples have been reported to be associated with sarcoidosis.
Specimen Requirements:
Fresh bronchoalveolar lavage sample is required. Stable for 24 hours.
Pediatric Specimen Requirements:
Fresh bronchoalveolar lavage sample is required. Stable for 24 hours.
Any sample volume may be processed.
