Test Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Samples received after 2:00 pm on Friday will be processed the following Monday.

Specimen Requirements:

7 mL peripheral blood or bone marrow in a GREEN top (Na Heparin) or LAVENDER top (EDTA) tube. Refrigerated specimens are good for up to 48 hours. Room temperature samples are good for up to 24 hours.

Pediatric Specimen Requirements:

7 mL peripheral blood or bone marrow in a GREEN top (Na Heparin) or LAVENDER top (EDTA) tube. Refrigerated specimens are good for up to 48 hours. Room temperature samples are good for up to 24 hours.

Comments:

When abnormal cells are present at low levels, it is useful to concentrate the abnormal cells using flow cell sorting for further analysis such as FISH, DNA and RNA testing.

Sorted populations/fractions need to be specified in the order.
