Specimen Requirements:

Samples must be drawn prior to 11 AM, Monday through Thursday. Samples obtained later in the day or week will not be accepted as these specimens cannot be processed and shipped to the referral lab appropriately. If the test is to be used for treatment monitoring, the time of the last two cysteamine doses prior to the blood draw must be provided.

8 mL blood in an ACD-Solution A (yellow-top). Deliver STAT to the lab on ice.
