Institute Conference Outreach
At the Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences, we use cutting-edge research findings to develop tools and resources to educate and train the next generation of occupational health and safety professionals using the Total Worker Health® approach.
To distribute these resources to the public, the Institute sponsors and attends occupational health, safety and wellness conferences hosted by leading industry groups and partners including the Oregon OSHA. We are committed to being accessible to our industry partners and regularly attend conferences hosted by Oregon OSHA, professional association meetings for human resource professionals, and other occupational health, safety, and wellness meetings. We do outreach at more than a dozen meetings per year that include unions, construction, healthcare professionals, and first responders.
Providing conference participants access to the latest in evidence-informed professional development opportunities and training is core to our mission to promote wellness and prevent disease and disability among working Oregonians.
