Nathalie Pamir, Ph.D., M.S.

Principal Investigator and Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, School of Medicine

Nathalie leads the efforts behind generating research funding, establishing and maintaining institutional, national and international collaborations, and continuous publishing.

Paul Mueller

Paul Mueller

Postdoctoral Fellow, Center for Preventive Cardiology, Knight Cardiovascular Institute

Paul drives two projects which entail: (i) characterizing the relationship between plasminogen and lipoprotein(a) and their effects on modulating proinflammatory signaling in leukocytes and vascular cells to better understand their contributions to the development of cardiovascular disease; and (ii) studying how post-translational modifications to PCSK9 affect the protein’s kinetics and metabolism, as well as its most well-known function in modulating circulating APOB-containing lipoproteins.

Sara Rosario

Sara Rosario, M.S.

Lab Manager

Sara has a B.S. and M.S. in chemistry and a passion for liquid chromatography mass spectrometry. Her current projects include proteomics of lipoproteins, investigating plasminogen-Lp(a)-ABCA1 interactions, investigating of REGARDS longitudinal cohort, and managing the CPC patient biorepository.

Paige Bergstrom

Paige Bergstrom

Research Assistant

Paige works primarily in our ongoing projects investigating the relationships between Plasminogen, ABCA1, and Lp(a), as well as the role of lipoprotein-immunity interaction in CVD development and progression. Other roles largely relate to proteomic analysis of lipoprotein samples and subsequent investigation.

Joshua Hay

Joshua Hay

Research Assistant

Josh manages the lab’s two transgenic mouse colonies and conducts experiments using mammalian cell models. Specific projects include PCSK9’s post-translational modifications, secretion, and interaction with lipoproteins, and plasminogen’s protein-protein interactions.
