Biography
Dr. Ahmed Gabr, M.D., M.Sc., is an assistant professor of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. His areas of clinical expertise span abdominal and musculoskeletal imaging, and image-guided interventions. He completed a body imaging and interventions fellowship at the University of Virginia, and a musculoskeletal imaging and interventions fellowship at OHSU.
Dr. Gabr serves on the American College of Radiology Liver Imaging Reporting & Data System (LI-RADS) Treatment Response working group and is one of the authors for the LI-RADS® CT/MRI v2024 imaging guidelines. He was a nominated member of the Academy's Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging and serves as the co-chair for the Society of Skeletal Radiology Annual Meeting DEI committee. He has also been a board member with the RSNA RadioGraphics Trainee Editorial Board and serves as the associate editor of interventional oncology and medical informatics for the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Gabr has a wide range of research interests including liver imaging, interventional oncology, quality and workflow improvements in imaging and the integration of intuitive technology and social media into radiology practice and education. He enjoys teaching and mentorship, and spends his free time travelling, enjoying the outdoors or tinkering with high-tech gadgets.
