Biography
Dr. Ahmed Gabr, M.D., M.Sc., is an assistant professor of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging. His areas of clinical expertise span image-guided interventions, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging. He completed a radiology residency, and a body imaging and interventions fellowship at Tanta University in Egypt, a body imaging and interventions fellowship at the University of Virginia, and a musculoskeletal imaging and interventions fellowship at OHSU.
Dr. Gabr serves on the American College of Radiology LI-RADS Treatment Response working group. He has been on the Radiographics Trainee Editorial Board, and is the associate editor of interventional oncology and medical informatics for the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Gabr also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Dotter Interventional Institute, and has a wide range of research interests including liver imaging, translational research in interventional oncology, and the integration of intuitive technology and social media into radiology practice and education. He enjoys teaching and mentorship, and spends his free time travelling, enjoying the outdoors or tinkering with high-tech gadgets.
