Biography

Dr. Sokolova specializes in caring for men with prostate cancer. She chose oncology because she values the special connection she has with her patients. She is honored to carry the responsibility of walking hand-in-hand with her patients during the most challenging times in their lives. She approaches each patient as a whole, addressing all aspects of their health and provide access to the best treatment that makes sense for them. Her special interests are in prostate cancer genetics. She has completed Intensive Course in Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment at City of Hope and has spent time at Memorial Sloan Kettering Genetics clinic. Her research focuses on helping men with prostate cancer and those with hereditary cancer syndromes to live well.

In her spare time, Dr. Sokolova and her husband enjoy spending time with their daughter and two cats. Dr. Sokolova also enjoys hosting family and friends, gardening and doing yoga.
