Biography
Azzdine Ammi, Ph.D., is interested in ultrasound contrast agent microbubbles dynamics and bioeffects in cancer and cardiovascular diseases. He is currently working on a collaborative effort involving OHSU (Knight Cancer Institute and Knight Cardiovascular Institute) and GE to use novel ultrasound contrast agent microbubbles to deliver pain medication to tumor sites that are not accessible by conventional therapies. Ammi received his Ph.D. in acoustic physics in 2006 from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France). The subject of his dissertation was: Detection and Characterization of Ultrasound Contrast Agent Microbubble Destruction.
