Biography

Dr. Mukhayer graduated from medical school, at Ahfad University for Women, with a degree in medicine and a passion for teaching and academia.  Dr.  Mukhayer then obtained her master’s degree in clinical education at the University of Edinburgh, and completed her training and medical doctorate in radiology at the Sudan Medical Specializations Board.  She practiced radiology in the United Kingdom, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and joined the East of England Imaging Academy.  Missing the mesmerizing landscapes of Oregon, from a trip years ago, she returned to the Pacific West Coast to join our alternate pathway program. Her career goal is to contribute to the exploration of functional neuroimaging in furthering the understanding of neurodiversity, while working towards her ABR certification. Outside of work Mukhayer enjoys spending time in nature, clay model sculpting, yoga practice and West Coast Swing.
