Biography
Blanca Cisneros (she/her/ella) is a Community Outreach Specialist with the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. She provides technical assistance to community organizations and leads outreach and engagement efforts throughout the state to ensure research at OHSU reflects the needs and interests of the cancer community.
Blanca is a dedicated community health worker (CHW) in helping her community gain equitable resources. Prior to starting at the Knight Cancer Institute, she provided CHW training and continue education units (CEUs) throughout the state. She has conducted after-school facilitation in the education system in promoting mental and sexual well-being. Blanca supported Latinx/e youth and their families through academic, high school graduation, and college and career readiness.
She has a passion for helping warriors battling cancer, she wants them to feel loved and heard throughout their treatment and healing process. She is a board member of NWFS Latina Council and OHA ScreenWise. Throughout her volunteerism she provides direction and support between health systems and underrepresented communities. Blanca received her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University.
