Brooke is a graduate student in the Program of Biomedical Science who officially joined the Saugstad lab in June 2024. She completed her undergraduate at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wahington, and returned to Oregon to complete her Ph.D. at OHSU in September 2023. She initially became interested in studying neurodegenerative disease in the context of Drosophila models at Washington State University. In the Saugstad lab, she is super excited to study microRNAs and their target proteins in Alzheimer's disease and was recently awarded a slot on the Neuroscience of Aging, Neurodegeneration, and Alzheimer's Disease T32 at OHSU.
