Caitlyn Conley, LCSW (she/her)

Biography

Caitlyn Conley is a licensed clinical social worker who treats children and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, suicidal ideation, living with psychosis, shame and family unit breakdown or dysfunction. She often sees patients who are navigating attachment-based stressors that affect their current relationships.

Caitlyn provides trauma-informed talk therapy, crisis intervention and counseling. She works with patients to see what methods and modalities are best for them, and together they devise a plan for treatment to target what is causing them discomfort.

Caitlyn believes that the patient is the expert on their life and that her role as a therapist is to offer perspective and partnership as they address what is bothering them. She believes that we are not meant to walk alone through challenging times and that sometimes we need some extra help. Therapy can be a tool to navigate our tougher times and can help us broaden our skills to address the core of what is causing us distress. She enjoys watching when patients use the tools they have learned in therapy to effect change in their lives, creating ease and joy where there used to be suffering or distress. One of her core beliefs is that we each function within multiple systems that affect us and that we, in turn, can affect. In therapy, we benefit from examining personal- and system-level healing to promote our overall well-being. This would look like boosting your social supports, finding places where you feel connected, and looking at areas where you feel empowered. Her role is to support patients in reaching their therapy goals and finding ways to incorporate what they have practiced in therapy into their daily lives.

Outside of work, you may find Caitlyn baking, reading, listening to music and gardening. She finds movement, being in nature and baking from scratch to be the best forms of decompression for her, though pickleball is quickly becoming her new obsession. She is an animal enthusiast and will readily watch any videos of elephants or cats that people share with her. To connect to her community, she stays involved in local social justice initiatives and continues her unlearning/learning from community leaders.
