I am a family nurse practitioner with six years of practice experience. As an RN, I worked as a community health nurse and in long-term care facilities. My experience as an FNP includes work in community health centers and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). My clinical background spans care for migrant populations, geriatric care, reproductive health, addiction medicine, transgender medicine and internal medicine. I currently serve as the associate medical director at Coastal Healthcare in Newport, Oregon. I joined the FNP program in 2023 and teach on the Portland campus.

A native Oregonian, I am dedicated to improving healthcare delivery across the state. I am fluent in Spanish and have worked with Spanish-speaking immigrant populations in Oregon for 30 years. As a professor, I am committed to fostering a growth mindset and patient-centered medical decision-making.
