Carol Halsey graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. She worked on organic and inorganic chemistry projects for two start-up biotech companies before putting her career on hold to raise her family. Carol jumped back into research with Paul Spellman, PhD within the Knight Cancer Institute working on breast cancer tumor heterogeneity, mechanisms of metastasis, and treatment resistance using molecular biology techniques. Now Carol supports Alex Davies DVM, PhD and his team within CEDAR looking at cell signaling and advanced tissue models with microscopy techniques.
