Biography
Dr. Chelsea Pyle is Section Chief of Women’s Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at OHSU. In this role, Dr. Pyle leads breast imaging’s integral role in multidisciplinary breast care, which includes an OHSU team of subspecialized breast surgeons, hematologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, researchers, pathologists, genetic counselors, and breast health nurses. Her specialty in breast imaging includes mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI. Primarily, she is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our breast imaging patients.
Dr. Pyle joined the faculty as Assistant Professor in 2020 after completing her diagnostic radiology residency and women's imaging fellowship at OHSU. She is a committed educator and is Director of the women’s Imaging fellowship.
A transplant like many Portlanders, Dr. Pyle received her undergraduate degree in Spanish at Sewanee: University of the South, a small liberal arts college on the Cumberland Plateau. She completed her MD at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, before spending a year in Boston at the Lahey Clinic for internship. Although she misses her family back in Georgia, she considers Portland home and loves the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She feels very fortunate and excited to continue as part of the incredible OHSU team, where collegial collaboration and exceptional education are at the heart of everything.
