Biography

Dr. Chetan Vakkalagadda is a medical oncologist who treats patients with cancers of the chest, including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer and thymic cancers. He also treats patients with cancers of the head and neck, including cancers of the nose, mouth, throat and thyroid. His clinic offers chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or molecular targeted therapy. He is also actively involved with multiple clinical trials in lung, head and neck cancers and offers these if appropriate.

He is interested in clinical trial development and improving care delivery. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and attended the ASCO/AACR Vail Workshop during fellowship. He is particularly interested in targeted therapies, having written multiple clinical trial protocols incorporating targeted therapies.

He is passionate about providing the best care possible by getting to know his patients well, working as part of a multidisciplinary cancer team and being actively engaged in clinical research.

In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer and football, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with his wife and their cat.
